The intimate retreat, with solely 12 rooms, three eating places, and a spa, soothes and energises in equal measure. Each visitor is given a smartphone upon arrival, with which to contact their private butler, gentle fires in their rooms, fill the cavernous personal jacuzzis, or pour a chilly glass of gin and tonic.
After a dawn breakfast of eggs and msemen at the Jan Janz, a comfy restaurant and bar below a conventional Jong roof hut, we took to the seas. Our Swedish photographer, Kalle – additionally an achieved sailor – stood on the bow of our boat as we sailed throughout the lagoon, snapping photos of our daring mannequin duo, who boldly performed the half of lovers, as we floated previous pink flamingoes.
