Annual inflation cooled to 2.4% in January, an eight-month low

(NCS) — The annual price of inflation slowed to an eight-month low final month, new information confirmed Friday.

Consumer costs rose 2.4% for the 12 months ended in January, a pointy cooling from the two.7% price notched in December, in accordance to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ newest Consumer Price Index.

On a month-to-month foundation, costs rose a better-than-expected 0.2%, a deceleration from December.
