Since the start of the conflict with Iran, Israeli authorities have shut down Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City and completely banned Palestinians from praying in or across the holy website – as Ramadan approaches its climax. Officials say it’s a public security measure to guard folks during air raids and level to related restrictions at different locations of worship within the Old City.
