Agilent Technologies introduced a collaboration with the Technology Innovation in Exploration & Mining Foundation (TEXMiN) at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, formalised throughout IInvenTiv 2026, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Government of India targeted on accelerating the interpretation of educational analysis into actual‑world applied sciences.

The collaboration helps India’s nationwide priorities in essential minerals, uncommon earth components, supplies science, and sustainable mining, that are more and more important to power safety, superior manufacturing, electronics, and infrastructure growth. As India progresses from analysis excellence towards expertise and manufacturing management, credible and validated analytical information is turning into a essential enabler of scalable and globally aggressive innovation.

As a part of the partnership, the TEXMiN Agilent Lab for Critical Mineral & Rare Earth Element Analytics will likely be established at TEXMiN, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The lab will function a shared platform for superior analytical analysis, information validation, and abilities growth, enabling the structured development of analysis outcomes towards business‑prepared, compliant, and scalable functions. By specializing in outlined precedence areas, the collaboration goals to scale back technical uncertainty, strengthen early validation, and align analysis outputs with actual‑world efficiency and regulatory expectations.

Commenting on the collaboration, Nandakumar Kalathil, India Country General Manager, Agilent Technologies, mentioned, “India stands at a pivotal point where the challenge is no longer the creation of knowledge, but its confident translation into technologies that can deliver national and global impact.”

Kalathil additional added, “Agilent’s role is to act as an enabler in this journey providing analytical confidence and trusted measurements that help convert scientific ideas into defensible data, data into technology readiness, and technology into real‑world solutions. Through our collaboration with TEXMiN, we are proud to support India’s ambition to build indigenous capabilities in critical minerals while meeting global standards of quality and credibility.”

Speaking on behalf of TEXMiN, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, Prof. Dheeraj Kumar, Deputy Director, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad & Project Director, TEXMiN, mentioned, “This collaboration reflects TEXMiN’s commitment as a Research Park to extending the impact of translational research beyond the laboratory. By combining TEXMiN’s domain expertise with Agilent’s global leadership in analytical science, we are creating an environment where research outcomes can be strengthened through validation, capability building, and industry alignment. The TEXMiN–Agilent Lab will play an important role in preparing skilled talent and advancing innovations that support India’s strategic objectives in critical minerals and sustainable mining.”

TEXMiN, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) underneath the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber‑Physical Systems, performs a key position in advancing expertise‑pushed exploration and mining by means of digital intelligence, automation, and superior information programs. Agilent’s contribution of world experience in analytical science, measurement applied sciences, and high quality programs strengthens the pathway from analysis discovery by means of validation, readiness, and deployment supporting innovation aligned with nationwide priorities and business relevance.
