The USGS is collaborating with the DoW on a sequence of initiatives funded by the DoW’s Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP). The USGS is growing and field-testing a number of new applied sciences for the DoW that shall be utilized in managing wildfire-resilient army bases and surrounding lands. These methods embody:
