Actor Paul Dano has damaged his silence about Quentin Tarantino’s harsh criticism of him.
The “Pulp Fiction” director launched a scathing assault on Dano throughout an interview with “The Bret Easton Ellis Podcast” in an episode launched final month.
During the dialog, Tarantino stated his fifth favourite movie of the twenty first century was “There Will Be Blood” – however he added a caveat.
He stated the 2007 film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, would have been his first or second favourite had been it not for “a big giant flaw in it, and the flaw is Paul Dano.” Adding insult to harm, he went on to describe Dano as “such a weak, weak, uninteresting guy.”
Dano, who performed two roles within the film as similar twins Eli and Paul Sunday, didn’t publicly tackle the director’s feedback, though some of Hollywood’s greatest stars jumped to his protection.
Now, a reporter from Variety has requested Dano at a twentieth anniversary screening of “Little Miss Sunshine” on the Sundance Film Festival about Tarantino’s outburst.
Although Dano didn’t communicate immediately to Tarantino’s feedback, he stated of the assist he’d obtained: “That was really nice. I was also incredibly grateful that the world spoke up for me so I didn’t have to.”
