New York’s LaGuardia Airport closed for about 14 hours after an Air Canada plane collided with a firetruck simply after touchdown Sunday evening. The pilot and copilot had been killed, whereas dozens of plane passengers and two individuals in the truck had been injured, in accordance with legislation enforcement officers.
NCS is piecing collectively what occurred throughout the lethal collision in a timeline, maps and photographs.
The airport reopened on Monday at 2 p.m. ET after a floor cease had been issued following the crash. Though one runway might stay closed for a number of extra days, one skilled stated.
