San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White was shot in the ankle during an event on Monday morning.
White was shot at 4:06 a.m. on the seventeenth block of Mission Street in San Francisco, a San Francisco Police spokesman mentioned, via The Athletic. There was an altercation between two teams that broke out at an event there that led to the capturing, although specifics of that incident aren’t but recognized. White shouldn’t be believed to have been a part of that altercation.

He was taken by police to a close-by hospital, and is expected to be OK. The 49ers confirmed the capturing, and mentioned that White underwent surgical procedure on Monday afternoon. Further specifics of his situation aren’t but recognized, however he did publish an replace to his Instagram on Tuesday afternoon.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out with their prayers and concerns on my behalf,” he wrote on a photograph of him in a hospital mattress. “I’ve undergone successful surgery. The incident came about hours after the Seattle Seahawks beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium on the opposite facet of the Bay Area. The stadium sits greater than 40 miles away in Santa Clara, south of San Francisco. White was on the Super Bowl, and was noticed sporting a Patriots hat.

White was traded to the 49ers in October from the Patriots, who chosen him with the No. 46 total choose in 2023. White had 18 complete tackles and 1.5 sacks in 14 video games this season. The 27-year-old has one 12 months left on his preliminary four-year, $7.7 million deal. The 49ers went 12-5 this previous season and reached the playoffs, although they had been knocked out in the divisional spherical.
