Tennessee is recruiting towards its 2027 football signing class.

Four-star safety Jaylen Scott named Tennessee in his top five schools, together with Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State and Georgia, in response to On3 and 247Sports.

The 6-foot, 165-pound prospect is from Williamson High School in Mobile, Alabama. 247Sports ranks him because the No. 10 safety in the category and No. 4 prospect in Alabama.

Tennessee supplied Scott a scholarship on Aug. 26, 2024. He visited Tennessee for Big Orange BBQ on May 31, 2025.

Scott beforehand dedicated to Florida State on Jan. 18 2025. He decommitted from the Seminoles on June 9, 2025, flipping his dedication to Auburn. He decommitted from the Tigers on Dec. 2, 2025.

Marshall was the primary faculty to supply Scott a scholarship. Other schools to supply him scholarships embrace Alabama State, Alabama A&M, UCF, Arkansas, South Alabama, Missouri, USF, Nebraska, Michigan, North Carolina, Colorado, Kentucky, Florida and Vanderbilt.
