2026 Rankings: Top ranked online master’s programs in computer science and technology

UMass Dartmouth’s online master’s in computer data technology earns prime nationwide rating.

UMass Dartmouth’s College of Engineering online master’s in computer science earned prime recognition in U.S. News & World Report’s data technology class, which evaluates programs in computer science, engineering, IT, and software program. The program jumped 15 spots to thirtieth nationally, making it the highest-ranked public college program in New England.

For the 2026 rankings, U.S. News says this of those colleges: “These institutions have the best online master’s degree programs in computer technology fields. Highly ranked programs have strong traditional academic foundations based on the excellence of entering students, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while offering robust career and financial support.”
