The ship, named Ambition, was scheduled to sail round France and Spain after choosing up passengers from the UK cities of Belfast and Liverpool on May 8 and May 9.
Up to 50 passengers on board Ambition have been affected by signs according to an acute stomach sickness, based on the native well being company within the French division of Gironde.
