New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) Union minister Harsh Vardhan on Thursday gave the Gandhian Young Technological Awards to college students and researchers, and mentioned improvements and scientific options are important for remodeling the lives of individuals.

Fourteen awards and eleven appreciation awards got underneath SITARE-GYTI Students Innovations for Advancement of Research Explorations – Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (SITARE-GYTI) whereas 16 appreciation awards got underneath Society for Research and Initiatives for Sustainable Technological Innovations-Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (SRISTI-GYTI).

The awardees have been chosen after a rigorous evaluation course of by eminent professors and scientists of their respective fields, an announcement by the Ministry of Science and Technology mentioned.

The awards and appreciations are given underneath these two classes to encourage expertise college students to maneuver in direction of establishing biotech and different start-ups.

Vardhan congratulated all the scholars and exhorted them to handle the unmet social, industrial and environmental wants and to create widespread consciousness about the identical.
