A University of Alabama at Birmingham football player stabbed two teammates Saturday morning, hours before the group’s game towards the University of South Florida, the college stated in a press release.

Both wounded gamers had been in steady situation, and the teammate suspected of stabbing them was in custody, the assertion stated. The college didn’t launch the names of the gamers concerned.
The stabbing occurred on campus on the Football Operations Building.
The group elected to play the afternoon game at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, the place 29 gamers had been being honored on Senior Day.
“UAB’s top priority remains the safety and well-being of all of our students,” the assertion stated.
