The children were shot whereas behind a automobile round 6:51 p.m. Sunday, Investigative Bureau Chief Derek McGork stated throughout a press convention Monday.

McGork stated two ladies were driving when shots were fired into their automobile from a passing car. The ladies drove away and stopped after they realized the children had been shot, he defined.

“They drove away as they were being shot at. After she realized the children were injured, she stopped and called 911,” he stated.

NCS affiliate WSTM recognized the sufferer as Dior after talking with the woman’s mom, Desiree Seymore.

“She was just a baby,” Seymore informed the affiliate. “She was so strong. She didn’t even cry when it happened, but we lost her.”

Seymore stated Dior would have turned one on April 29, WSTM reported.

The grieving mom stated her baby was loving, playful, and vigorous, in line with WSTM.

The two children injured were recognized as 3-year-old and 8-years-old ladies and are in steady situation, in line with Syracuse Police Chief Kenton T. Buckner.

“These were babies in the back of this car,” Buckner stated. Police didn’t say if the two ladies were injured.
