{A photograph} of a lady surrounded by drying fish in Vietnam and one other displaying lightning over a lavender discipline in Spain are amongst 10 class winners on the Sony World Photography Awards 2021 Open Competition, introduced Thursday.

Arranged by the World Photography Organisation, the annual Open competitors selects “the best single images” in classes resembling journey, structure and avenue images.

Vietnamese photographer Khanh Phan gained the journey class for the drying fish picture, which was taken at Long Hai fish market in Ba Ria -Vung Tau, Vietnam.

Spanish photographer Juan López Ruiz gained the panorama class for capturing the second lightning strikes over a discipline of lavender, with a solitary tree on the middle.

German photographer Klaus Lenzen gained the structure class for his picture of a set of stairs on the Hyatt lodge in Dusseldorf which seem like they’re floating in area.

And F. Dilek Uyar, from Turkey, was named the winner of the road images class for a photograph of a municipal employee in Ankara, Turkey, disinfecting a prepare platform.

Winners within the different six classes are as follows: Tamary Kudita, Zimbabwe, within the artistic class; Mariano Belmar Torrecilla, Spain, way of life; Marijo Maduna, Croatia, movement; Cristo Pihlamäe, Estonia, pure world and wildlife; Kata Zih, Hungary, object; and Lyudmila Sabanina, Russian Federation, portraiture.

The 10 class winners will now be thought of for the general title and a $5,000 prize. They additionally obtain a number of Sony digital imaging tools. The total winner of the Open competitors will likely be introduced on April 15.

More than 100 photographers have been shortlisted for the competitors alongside the class winners. Winning and shortlisted work will likely be showcased in a digital exhibition on the World Photography Organisation web site.

The 2021 competitors was judged by Gastón Deleau, director of the FOLA (Fototeca Latinoamericana — the Latin American Photo Library) gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
