Paddlers take off firstly of the ‘Roundin Regis Regatta on Lower St. Regis Lake in Paul Smiths on Sunday.

PAUL SMITHS — The first-ever Roundin’ Regis Regatta paddling race was held on Sunday, constructing on the legacy of the previous St. Regis Invitational, which ceased throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
As its identify suggests, the 8-mile course is a loop, starting on Lower St. Regis Lake with paddlers racing into Spitfire after which to Upper St. Regis Lake, earlier than a one-mile overland carry again to the west shore of Lower St. Regis Lake, with paddlers heading east throughout the lake to complete the place they began.
