This may very well be the week that Cooper senior Cam O’Hara joins an elite listing of Kentucky highschool quarterbacks who’ve handed for 10,000 yards or extra in their varsity career.
O’Hara wants 118 passing yards in Friday’s sport at Dixie Heights to succeed in that spectacular career milestone. The four-year starter at the moment holds Northern Kentucky career information in each passing yards (9,882) and passing touchdowns (128).

Dixie Heights gained its final two video games after getting off to an 0-4 begin this season. The Colonels and the Jaguars are each 1-0 in the Class 5A, District 5 standings that can decide playoff pairings. Boone County at Conner is the opposite Class 5A district sport on Friday’s schedule.
Cooper voted No 1 in native ladies basketball coaches ballot
The Cooper ladies basketball staff that has gained 4 consecutive ninth Region championships was voted No. 1 in the Northern Kentucky preseason coaches ballot.
The Jaguars obtained seven of the 13 first-place votes solid by native coaches. Simon Kenton was second with six first-place votes, adopted by Notre Dame, Campbell County and Highlands.


Dixie Heights, Ryle, Holy Cross, Brossart and Conner have been subsequent in the highest 10 standings. Basketball groups can start preseason apply on Oct. 15.
Cooper has 4 starters coming back from final season’s 26-6 staff that misplaced in the state quarterfinals. The veterans embody junior level guard Addyson Brissey and junior swing participant Haylee Noel, who had team-high averages of 16.4 factors and seven.5 rebounds.

Louisville St. Xavier gained the staff title with a 299 complete, adopted by Ryle (304) and Christian Academy-Louisville (311). They are three of the 9 groups that can compete in the boys state match finals Oct. 10-11 at Bowling Green Country Club.
Will Judd of Christian Academy gained Wednesday’s qualifier with a 2-under 70. Ryle’s 4 scoring golfers have been Hayden Li (74), Thomas Leone (75), Paxton McKelvey (75) and Jake Roscoe (80). Li tied for fifth place whereas Leone and McKelvey tied for ninth.
The 15 particular person qualifiers for the state championship match included CovCath teammates Brady Pangotto (74) and Joseph Mangine (76), Aaron Gutman of Walton-Verona (78), Parker Isaacs of St. Henry (79) and Jace Hammons of Beechwood (79).
