Wells Fargo Securities’ Chris Harvey is asking Big Tech’s current outperformance a “head fake.”

“We are just beginning a very aggressive GDP cycle, a very aggressive recovery. Typically, when you have growth and growth is abundant, you don’t want to pay a premium for tech,” he stated. “That’s where we are right now.”
Harvey believes traders have not come to phrases with the difficulty inflation will create for Big Tech, development shares and the general market.
“We’re going to start thinking about things like higher taxes. When do we taper? How high do rates go — assuming they go higher,” stated Harvey. “You can get a bit more choppiness.”
