# Nvidia Unveils Modular Data Center Solution at GTC Conference

The AI factory concept, known as the DSX Pod, was unveiled by Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang as part of his vision for an emerging ecosystem where countries produce their own AI technology.

Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang unveiled a vision for AI-driven economies at his company's recent GTC conference, held in San Jose last March but now shifted to focus on power, agents, and physical AI seven months later.

To be part of this emerging ecosystem, countries don't just need to consume AI technology but produce it as well, according to Huang. He emphasized that producing AI is essential for participating in the AI economy, a notion he reinforced during his 90-minute presentation to a crowd of over 4,000 attendees at Nvidia's GTC.

The AI factory concept, known as the DSX Pod, was unveiled by Huang as part of this vision. The modular "plug-and-play" data center comes pre-assembled in a large metal container equipped with Vera Rubin compute racks from Nvidia and can be operational within just 14 days, significantly reducing construction time.

The DSX Pod, Nvidia's modular data center solution, promises not just faster deployment but also reduced downtime for compute resources. This is because the pre-assembled container can be operational in just 14 days, a significant improvement over traditional construction times.

Huang emphasized that this transformation will have far-reaching implications for industries across Europe. He envisioned a future where Nvidia's technology underpins every sector, from manufacturing to finance and beyond. The company's GPUs are already being integrated into various applications, including telecommunications and automotive systems.

Nvidia is making inroads into the rapidly emerging field of humanoid robotics, with Huang announcing the launch of a full-stack robotics platform designed to streamline configuration and standardization. This move comes as Europe seeks to establish itself as a leader in this area, leveraging its manufacturing heritage to drive innovation.

In addition to robotics, Nvidia's presence extends into other areas such as autonomous vehicles. Huang announced partnerships with European carmakers VW and Mercedes on the development of AVs, highlighting the company's growing influence across various industries.

Nvidia's plans for Europe have taken a significant step forward with the announcement of a preconfigured reference robot called Agile One, set to hit the market in the first quarter of next year.

This robot is designed to facilitate the development of physical AI systems by providing developers with a readily available and customizable platform. The aim is to streamline the process of creating complex AI-powered projects and make them more accessible to a wider range of users.

As part of its ongoing efforts to drive innovation in Europe, Nvidia has also highlighted the potential for agents to increase demand for computing power and GPU resources. With agents expected to become increasingly prevalent, there will be a growing need for robust software tools and powerful processing capabilities.
