New dinosaur sails into historical past books

A brand new species of dinosaur was revealed final week on the Isle of Wight by GP- turned-palaeontologist Dr Jeremy Lockwood. The fossils are believed to be 125 million years outdated and have been at first thought to from an iguanodon.

But Lockwood found it had lengthy neural spines, suggesting it had an extended sail-like construction alongside its again, separating it anatomically from the iguanodon. The new species shall be known as Istiorachis macarthurae in honour of Dame Ellen MacArthur, who broke the file for crusing solo all over the world in 2005, finishing it in simply 71 days.
