MSNBC Has Growth, Fox News Still No. 1

When taking a look at these networks’ efficiency during the same period a year ago:

  • During primetime, Fox News was down -10% in complete viewers and -24% in the A25-54 demo. During complete day, the community was flat in complete viewers and down -16% in the demo.
  • In primetime, MSNBC was down -43% in complete viewers and -53% in the demo. During complete day, the community was down -42% in complete viewers and -47% in the demo.
  • In primetime, NCS declined by -65% in complete viewers and the demo. During complete day, it noticed losses of -43% in complete viewers and -50% in the demo.

PROGRAMMING:

Fox News had 14 out of the 15 spots of the most-watched cable information exhibits of the week, with The Five on high with 3.435 million complete viewers at 5 p.m. ET. MSNBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show, airing at 9 p.m. ET on Mondays, was in the No. 10 place with 1.850 million complete viewers. 

The Five remained in first place in the Adults 25-54 demo, averaging 311,000 viewers at 5 p.m. ET. Once once more, Fox News held 14 out of the 15 high spots in the demo, with The Rachel Maddow Show airing on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET taking the No. 13 spot with 162,000 demo viewers.
