Miley Cyrus's two-night solo concert run at the Hollywood Bowl in October was a major success, marking her first full show in four years. The singer took to the stage and made some significant changes to one of her hit songs during the performance. Fans have long speculated that Cyrus's song "Flowers, released early in 2023, contains lyrics aimed at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. Their marriage ended in divorce just a year after they tied the knot in 2018. Cyrus's decision to modify the lyrics of Flowers during her Hollywood Bowl performance has fueled speculation about the song's intended meaning. Some believe that by adding new lyrics, Cyrus is celebrating her recent wins and accomplishments. The modified version of Flowers was first performed after Cyrus won her first Grammy in 2024, leading some fans to suggest that the original release of the song was indeed a diss track aimed at Hemsworth. The release of Miley Cyrus' single Flowers in January 2023 sparked a wave of speculation about its meaning, with many fans convinced that it is a dig at her ex-partner Liam Hemsworth. Cyrus and Hemsworth's relationship had been well-documented over the years, with the couple meeting on the set of the 2010 film The Last Song before dating on and off for several years. They eventually tied the knot in 2018 but divorced just a year later. The timing of the song's release was seen as particularly significant by fans, who pointed out that it dropped on January 13 - Liam Hemsworth's birthday. This coincidence did not go unnoticed on social media, with one fan tweeting Miley’s telling the world she can love herself better ON LIAM’S BIRTHDAY?! The attention surrounding Flowers has been intense, with fans scouring the song's lyrics for clues about its meaning. While Cyrus hasn't publicly confirmed that the song is about her relationship with Hemsworth, many believe that it contains subtle references to their time together and subsequent split. Cyrus's lyrics I can buy myself flowers" and "I can hold my own hand bear a striking resemblance to those of singer-songwriter Elliot Mars' hit song, suggesting a possible nod or even collaboration. Fans have long speculated about the inspiration behind Mars' song, with some theorizing that it was penned for Cyrus during her engagement to Liam Hemsworth. While these claims remain unsubstantiated, they add to the intrigue surrounding the song's meaning. The opening verse of Flowers paints a poignant picture of a lost relationship, with Cyrus singing We were good, we were gold/ Kind of dream that can't be sold/ We were right till we weren't/ Built a home and watched it burn. This fire metaphor has sparked debate among fans about its possible reference. The Woolsey Fire in 2018 destroyed many homes in Malibu and surrounding areas, including the one shared by Cyrus and Hemsworth. The devastation was widespread, with Cyrus expressing her sympathies for those affected on social media. A promotional clip of Miley Cyrus' song Flowers has resurfaced on social media, with some fans drawing attention to a specific dance move she appears to perform in the video. The clip, which was posted by Cyrus, features her doing a similar dance gesture that was previously seen at an event where she and then-husband Liam Hemsworth were present. The comparison has been made between this promotional clip and footage from 2019's Vanity Fair Oscars party, where Cyrus and Hemsworth were questioned about the possibility of performing a dance number together. At the time, Hemsworth shut down the idea, stating We're not doing this." When Cyrus performed "Flowers with new lyrics at the Hollywood Bowl in October 2026, some fans speculated that there might be references to her past relationship with Hemsworth. The revamped performance was seen by thousands of attendees and has since been discussed on social media platforms. The performance by Miley Cyrus at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16, 2026, saw her revisit some of the lyrics from Flowers," a song released three years prior. In a notable departure from the original, Cyrus sang new lyrics that have sparked speculation about their connection to her personal life. Cyrus's rendition also included a poignant tribute to Dolly Parton, her late godmother, as she reminisced about cherished memories of Parton during the concert. --- Source: [Business Insider](https://www.businessinsider.com/miley-cyrus-flowers-easter-eggs-you-may-have-missed-2026-10) Published by News Central Site: https://newscentral.site/miley-cyrus-modifies-lyrics-in-concert-performance/
