Korea and Japan held their first senior-level meeting on science and expertise cooperation in 16 years Thursday, the international ministry stated, as the 2 nations renewed their dedication to deepen ties in superior applied sciences.

The 14th meeting of the Korea-Japan Science and Technology Cooperation Committee held in Tokyo earlier in the day, after the 2 sides agreed to renew the intergovernmental discussion board for the primary time since 2009 throughout their summit talks in September.

The Korean delegation was led by Han Min-young, director common for local weather change, power, atmosphere and scientific affairs at Seoul’s international ministry, with officers from the science and commerce ministries.

During the meeting, the 2 sides mentioned methods to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation in superior applied sciences, together with synthetic intelligence, quantum expertise, area and biotechnology.
