Jon Stewart says he wants to stay at “The Daily Show” desk after his present contract expires in December.
“We’re working on staying,” the Comedy Central host stated Sunday when requested about his standing on stage at The New Yorker Festival in Manhattan.
“It’s not as clear-cut as all that,” Stewart shortly added. He began to say the media enterprise is altering, maybe alluding to the current possession modifications at Comedy Central’s guardian, Paramount.
However, Remnick requested, “If it’s up to you, you’re staying?” Yes, Stewart stated.

Talking about new media stars like podcaster Joe Rogan, Stewart stated, “It’s not acceptable to just say, well, ‘I don’t like what he does.’ Then do it better, beat them at their own game. Go on.”
“There’s no one in this world right now that isn’t platformed,” he added. “And so if you have a problem with information, then fight like hell to get better information out there.”
