Hong Kong should strengthen its scientific analysis and drive industrial upgrading with the help of the central authorities, Beijing’s prime man within the metropolis has mentioned, as 15 state key laboratories had been introduced with plaques on Monday.
Zhou Ji, director of Beijing’s liaison workplace, mentioned at a presentation ceremony that the restructuring of the present state key laboratories in Hong Kong demonstrated the central authorities’s robust help for town’s technological growth and its efforts to draw world expertise.

At the ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology Yin Hejun introduced plaques to fifteen Hong Kong laboratories. Twelve of them had been restructured and renamed from current state key laboratories, whereas the opposite three had been newly established.
