George B. Simon

George B. Simon, 90, of Farwell handed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025 on the Williamsport Home.

Born Aug. 20, 1935 in Renovo, he was a son of the late George Simon, Jr. and Catherine (McCarthy) Simon.

George was married 60 years to the previous Elizabeth I. “Betty” Kisko who died Oct. 16, 2014.

He labored as a yard grasp for the Pa. Railroad for 40 years.

George was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elks and the Sons of Italy.

He loved searching, his Harley-Davidson motorbike and dealing on his pc.

George loved spending time together with his household and attending sporting occasions for his grandchildren and nice grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, George M. (Michele) Simon, of Montoursville, and Timothy E. Simon, of Renovo and two daughters; Deborah A. (Terry) Pedokus, and Ann E. (Tom) Tarantella, each of Renovo; ten grandchildren, Robert L. (Katie) Spangler, Jr., Corey M. (Vanessa) Simon, Francis W. (Carrie) DeMarte, III, Thomas E. (Amanda) Tarantella, Jr., Christopher L. (Katherine) Spangler, Patrick G. (Connie) Tarantella, Joseph J. (Miranda) Simon, Andrea R. (Keith) Tarantella, Brad L. Pedokus and Brandy L. Pedokus; and 19 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Ann Marie Simon, of Renovo; one sister, Grace Marie Hockenberry, and a brother, John Andrew Simon, each of Renovo.

George was preceded in demise by a daughter, Mary Okay. Spangler, and a brother, James P. Simon.

A Mass of Christian burial will probably be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., Renovo with Rev. Joseph Orr officiating.

Friends and family members will probably be acquired from Noon ­ 12:45 p.m., on the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo.

Interment will probably be personal at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.

Memorial contributions will be made to the Improvement Fund at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
