Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) has been chosen for the “EXPERT-J” initiative by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), a program designed to strengthen Japan’s analysis capabilities by attracting excellent early-career researchers from across the world-including Japanese nationals-and supporting their integration into top-tier Japanese universities with internationally aggressive situations. A complete of 11 universities throughout Japan have been chosen for this program.

As a global graduate college, OIST has lengthy been dedicated to welcoming and supporting excellent researchers from around the globe, whereas fostering an atmosphere that encourages curiosity-driven, artistic analysis.

Building on the globally acknowledged analysis infrastructure we’ve developed, the help from this program will allow us to additional strengthen strategic analysis areas similar to mathematical sciences and power and sustainability. By accelerating the recruitment of worldwide researchers in these fields, we goal to reinforce our world-class analysis capabilities and set up a strong help system that promotes international mind circulation.
