Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology stated its eight present research focus areas are being promoted to help the event of green jobs and sustainable growth in Indonesia.

“There are eight national priorities that we are directing toward (sustainability). Green jobs are important because we hope that all areas of research incorporate awareness of protecting our environment,” Director of Strategy and Transformative Learning Systems Ardi Findyartini stated right here on Tuesday.

During the opening press convention of the Science Film Festival 2025, she defined that the ministry’s research priorities embody meals, new vitality sources, well being and medication, transportation, engineering, protection and safety, maritime affairs, social and cultural independence, and different research areas.

Regarding this focus, she stated green jobs align with nationwide priorities. She inspired college students, researchers, and lecturers to combine sustainability concerns and environmental preservation into their work.

Not solely new jobs, she added, however all current sectors may also contribute to environmental sustainability and develop into green jobs.

Therefore, she stated that the ministry continues to encourage this via the present research and better schooling local weather.

She pressured the worldwide significance of those initiatives, noting Indonesia’s position as a part of the world’s lungs.

“We also hope that Indonesia, as part of the lungs of the world, will think about its significant role in developing expertise focused on green jobs. We do not label it specifically as green jobs, but across the eight national priorities, there are various aspects that can be integrated,” she defined.

As an preliminary step, the ministry is encouraging college students’ curiosity in incorporating sustainable practices throughout a number of sectors.

“We hope teachers can create enjoyable science learning experiences, including topics related to environmental health, personal health, and the health of all components of our planet,” she stated.
