# Co-pilot involved in FlyDubai hijacking attempt had significant online presence

The co-pilot's online posts revealed a disturbing mix of extremist ideologies and misogynistic views, raising concerns about his mental state and potential motivations.

A shocking revelation has emerged about the co-pilot involved in the recent alleged hijacking attempt on a FlyDubai flight. Investigation sources reveal that Hamam al Hamami, an Omani national and the co-pilot of the plane, had a significant online presence where he shared thousands of posts on X.

These posts, which have since been deleted, were filled with derogatory language about women, echoing the views of misogynistic online influencers. The content was not only inflammatory but also violent in tone, raising concerns about al Hamami's mental state and potential motivations for the alleged hijacking attempt.

As reported earlier, on September 27th, al Hamami attacked the plane's captain with a cockpit emergency ax as the flight approached Israel, prompting passengers and crew to subdue him. The off-duty flight crew then made a safe emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.

The co-pilot's online posts revealed a disturbing mix of extremist ideologies and misogynistic views. He used derogatory terms to describe men who seek approval from women, labeling them as "simp for trying to gain their favor through subservience.

In one post, al Hamami claimed that these men are inherently low-value individuals who resort to such behavior out of desperation, implying that they lack the confidence and self-worth necessary to approach women with dignity.

The co-pilot's online activities reveal a contradictory desire for a traditional partner while espousing misogynistic views. He reportedly sought a young woman from a tribal background in Saudi Arabia who would wear a face cover and not work outside the home, yet simultaneously expressed disdain for women on social media.

In his posts, he made derogatory comments about women, implying they are inferior to men and lack confidence. He also claimed that some men resort to desperate behavior due to their own low self-worth. These online statements raise questions about the co-pilot's mental state and potential motivations.

Israeli investigators believe the co-pilot acted alone in the alleged hijacking attempt at the end of last month, according to sources familiar with the matter. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has stated that Israel gathered personal information during questioning, which suggests the co-pilot underwent Islamist radical indoctrination.

It has been revealed that Al Hamami had a previous stint at Oman Air, where he underwent new pilot training before his tenure was cut short. Surveillance conducted by the Omani government discovered that he was accessing radical websites during this time. As a result of these findings, Oman Air reassigned him to an office job.

Further investigation suggests that Al Hamami resigned from Oman Air after being placed on desk duty and subsequently left the airline around 2024. During his employment at Oman Air, he allegedly posted online content showing Israeli planes in Dubai alongside a photo of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the leader believed to have been involved in planning the September 11 attacks.

Al Hamami eventually moved to Dubai, where FlyDubai hired him without conducting thorough background checks with the Omani government.

The extent of Al Hamami's online activities raises questions about how he was able to secure a position as a co-pilot for FlyDubai. His thousands of posts on manosphere" websites and forums reveal a disturbing pattern of misogynistic views.

Despite these revelations, it remains unclear why thorough background checks were not conducted with the Omani government before his hiring, or how he managed to become a pilot flying dozens of people into Tel Aviv as an Omani national.
