Former President Barack Obama is lending his support to Pennsylvania Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro's bid for reelection. This endorsement is part of a broader effort by Obama to aid Democrats in their campaigns ahead of the November elections. In recent days, several video endorsements have been released, showcasing the former president's continued influence within the party.

Obama has recorded around two dozen videos endorsing Democratic Senate and gubernatorial candidates across the country. Among those featured are nominees from key battleground states, including Georgia, Maine, and Wisconsin. For instance, the governorships of these states will be contested by Democrats Keisha Lance Bottoms in Georgia and David Crowley in Wisconsin.

The former president's endorsement is significant given his enduring popularity within the Democratic Party. According to a recent poll, he remains one of the most well-liked figures among Democrats, a status that has been consistent over the past decade since leaving office.

In the lead-up to the November elections, former President Barack Obama is lending his support to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's bid for re-election. As a prominent surrogate, Obama is helping Democrats in their efforts to secure control of Congress and key governors' offices.

Shapiro faces Republican state Treasurer Stacy Garrity in the gubernatorial election. According to a recent Quinnipiac University poll, Shapiro is currently leading Garrity by 25 percentage points among likely Pennsylvania voters. Additionally, the survey found that Shapiro enjoys a strong job approval rating of 63% among those polled.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro has received significant backing for his reelection bid from a prominent Democrat, Barack Obama. This endorsement is not surprising given the long-standing political connection between Shapiro and Obama.

Their alignment dates back nearly two decades to when Shapiro was serving as a state legislator, during which he endorsed Obama's 2008 presidential primary run. This early support has led some observers to draw parallels between the two politicians' communication styles.
