“Bodies remain under the rubble, and others were burned alive inside the shelter caravans, children, women, and elderly killed in cold blood,” the Al-Fashir Resistance Committees stated in a press release earlier on Saturday. It stated in a later assertion that the shelter had been hit twice by drones and eight occasions by artillery shells.

The resistance committee stated tons of of civilians have been killed by the assaults, and residents who spoke to Reuters stated that they had dug bunkers into their houses and neighborhoods for defense.
